Learning Challenge: Time
This week, I once again want to focus on time management skills, as it applies not only to college life, but to everything that I do - work, personal life, etc. The below meme is so powerful and true. I can relate to it in the form of procrastination. For week 9, I forgot to do extra credit opportunities. It is now Monday, 3/27/17 and we already started with week 10 and I'm scrambling to get a few extra credit assignments in - absolutely a sign of procrastination and because it completely slipped my mind! I would hate for others to decide my future, simply because I was not determined enough or because I did not manage my time and skills well enough.

Learning Challenge: Empathy
For this week's learning challenge, I decided to focus on empathy. I think that it is important for people to be not only sensitive, but also aware of others' conditions or views from their perspective. It can be applied not only in one's own life, but it is prevalent in class and in all our surroundings. I found a quiz about empathy and thought that my results are pretty cool. Here is the link to the quiz where you can find out your own level of empathy: Empathy Quiz Link By Greater Good.

Learning Challange: Books Of Life
Girl Reading Books. Source: Laura's Blogspot
This picture immediately caught my eye, because reading can really teach us so many things in life - whether it is something we know and read it from a different perspective or whether we learn something new; books never disappoint. If we start creating a love / passion for reading at a young age, then it is nit a hobby, but rather something you see as "I can't live without my books" and that is what I hope to get my child to do one day. I want him to read as many books as he can / wants to. There is so much unknown in this world and if only we start reading more.....
There will be no end to the possibilities!

Learning Challenge: "through hardships to the stars".
(Cat Reaching Out. Creaed Using Cheezburger.http://builder.cheezburger.com/Builder#step2)
I decided to use the Latin words "Ad astra per aspera" for this picture. Translated, it means "through hardships to the stars". I could not find a photo with starts, so this one was close enough. If one tries hard enough and keep pushing through the difficult times, one will persevere. Do not give up, keep trying and you will succeed. This quote is truly resonating with me, because I am at that point in the semester where I just want to stop doing schoolwork, but I have to push through and keep working hard at it, in order to get my degree and succeed!

Learning Challange: Toiling And Time
(Picture Of a Mouth Screaming Something About Time. Created using Cheezburger)
I thought that this quote (author unknown) pertains very well to not only the extra credit reading option for this week, but also in everyday life. The harder we work, the better off we are and the higher the benefits. People and religions view time as differing concepts and that is what makes it so unique. I will definitely take this saying to heart, especially for the upcoming week, to remind myself that if I work hard and complete my obligations in a timely manner, I will be able to have more time for myself and my family over the weekend.

Learning Challenge: Believing In Yourself
(Happiness is...Source: Cheezburger)
I chose to create this meme, because everything that we do in life begins with yourself. Your actions, the reactions and choices. If you do not have the ability to believe in yourself, how can you expect others to believe and have faith in you?
